Privacy Policy

Effective September 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Summit West LLC, a Michigan limited liability company doing business as sometime. (“sometime,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the sometime iOS app, its iMessage extension, the booking pages at thesometime.app, and related services (together, the “Service”). It applies to people who send invitations (“Senders”) and to people who receive and book them (“Recipients”), whether or not they have the app installed.

The short version: sometime is designed so that scheduling can happen without handing over your calendar. We collect the minimum needed to hold a time, we never see the contents of your calendar events or your messages, and we do not sell, rent, or use your information for advertising.

1. Information that never leaves your device

The app reads your calendars on-device, with your permission through iOS, solely to compute which intervals are busy. Only those intervals, expressed as start and end times, are ever transmitted.

2. Information we collect

From Senders

From Recipients

Automatically

The booking pages at thesometime.app do not use cookies or local storage for tracking. They use browser storage only to remember an in-progress booking so that a refresh does not create a duplicate.

3. How we use information

We do not use your information to train machine-learning models, for advertising or marketing to third parties, or for any purpose unrelated to providing the Service.

4. Google Calendar

Connecting a Google account is optional; sometime works fully with calendars already on your iPhone. If you connect Google Calendar, we request the narrowest scopes needed to read busy/free information from the calendars you select and to create events on the calendar you choose as your booking destination. Access tokens are stored encrypted on our servers and are used only for those purposes.

sometime’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not transfer it to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law, and humans do not read it except with your explicit consent, for security purposes, or to comply with law.

You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time in the app’s Settings, or revoke sometime’s access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Disconnecting deletes the stored tokens.

5. How we share information

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We share information only:

6. Retention

Deleting the app removes all local data. Server-side records associated with your install identifier are deleted on request (see Section 8) and, in any case, when your last invitation expires.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest by our hosting providers. Access to production systems is limited to those who need it, and credentials such as Google tokens and push certificates are stored in encrypted secret storage. Bookings are validated server-side so a Recipient can only book times that are genuinely open. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; if we learn of a breach affecting your information we will notify you as required by law.

8. Your rights and choices

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. We process your information to perform our contract with you (providing the Service), for our legitimate interests in keeping the Service secure and improving it, and, where applicable, with your consent (for example calendar access and notifications), which you may withdraw at any time. You have the rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Data is transferred to the United States under appropriate safeguards, including standard contractual clauses entered into by our service providers.

California and other U.S. states. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information other than to provide the Service. You may make a request, or designate an authorized agent to do so, by emailing us.

9. Children

The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. International use

We are based in Michigan, United States, and process information in the United States. If you use the Service from elsewhere, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your country.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If changes are material we will update the effective date above, note the change in the app’s release notes, and, where required, ask for your consent. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.

12. Contact

Questions, requests, or complaints: feedback@thesometime.app.
